The contradiction between supply and demand of power coal in China has been highlighted, and the security of power coal supply continues to face greater pressure. To further do a good job of securing electric power supply and ensure an adequate and reliable supply of power coal in the medium and long term, a study was carried out on the issue of power coal supply security. Studies and forecasts were conducted on the demand for power coal at the national and provincial levels, and balance analyses were carried out in terms of coal production, coal consumption and coal transport, to sort out and judge the weak links in the future security of power coal supply. A study on the security of power coal transport in key provinces and municipalities across the country was carried out to forecast the volume and main sources of power coal transfer in key areas, and to analyse the adaptability of the capacity of major transport corridors as well as new construction and reconstruction and expansion plans. The results of the study will provide a reference for the analysis of the transfer of power coal transport.
