With the maturity of artificial intelligence technology and the diversification of takeaway delivery scenes and needs, takeaway unmanned delivery vehicles are developing rapidly. However, today’s research on unmanned delivery vehicles is more about technology and practical improvement, and research on styling design is rare. In order to enhance user experience and improve product quality, this paper starts from the perspective of product semantics to study the correspondence between styling elements and semantic demands under the cognitive thinking of users, so as to provide theoretical basis for the improvement of styling design. Firstly, the semantic cognition of users is investigated by using the semantic difference method to construct the semantic space of takeaway unmanned delivery vehicles and clarify the mapping relationship between modelling and semantics. Secondly, the overall shape of the unmanned delivery vehicle for takeaways is decomposed into elements. The grey correlation analysis is used to study the degree of correlation between the styling elements of the product and the semantic demand, and the quantitative relationship between the two is determined, which provides a basis for the purposeful selection of styling elements for design. Finally, the method of constructing semantic space and combining with grey correlation analysis is verified to be effective in guiding the styling design of takeaway unmanned delivery vehicles by means of case practice.
