In this paper, the reliability of the methanol fuel system is modeled, and the Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) method is applied to identify the hazards of the control system, the refueling system, the water glycol heating system, the supply system, and the recycling system at a total of five nodes, and a total of 31 risk scenarios are identified, of which 19 are of low risk and 12 are of medium risk. Through risk assessment, all possible failure modes and their possible impacts and hazards are analyzed, and feasible countermeasures are formulated for each type of risk to ensure that all types of risks in the operation of the methanol fuel system are reduced to an acceptable level.
