The Android mobile operating system relies on Linux and is developed and designed with the friendly usage of people in mind. It also maximizes the productivity of business users. Most of the functions or operations are done by several applications that are installed on smartphones. While installing the application, it may indirectly install some unwanted software and files. The unwanted software is commonly known as malware, which is harmful to the device. However, some of the applications may access resources that were not requested during installation, which may lead to data theft, leakage, or loss. This paper introduces a Security Application (SEC-APP) which has a central database that holds data about honest applications and dishonest applications, which are classified based on two types of permissions: required permission for installation and used permission after installation. When an application’s behavior nearly matches the behavior of an honest application, it will be secure to install, otherwise, the installation process is discarded. SEC-APP is a framework that works based on security policies to enforce software isolation. The user of the smartphone can assign priorities to the different applications through the context Detected Manager. This helps to improve the successful detection rate of SEC-APP and stop dishonest applications.
