Concepts for verification of the geotechnical design for offshore foundations based on cyclic laboratory test results
摘要
With the development of the offshore wind in the recent years, a number of foundation solutions are widely used for offshore constructions. The main loading regime of these constructions in offshore areas is the cyclic lateral loading from wind and waves. The paper reviews various approaches for predicting the cyclic behavior of foundations, with a particular focus on methods derived from cyclic laboratory test results. This topic is especially relevant given recent advancements in the offshore wind industry, notably concerning the foundations of offshore wind turbine. The paper provides examples of different concepts and outlines their respective fields of application.
