Large Mining Height
摘要
The full-seam mining method with a large mining height (hereinafter referred to as large mining height) is a longwall mining method that mechanically mines the full thickness of coal seams reaching and exceeding 3.5m at once (Du and Meng in Mining science [M], China University of Mining and Technology Press, Xuzhou, 2009). Since the application of large mining height technology in China, it has developed rapidly. Due to its advantages such as high production, high recovery rate, simple process, high efficiency, and ease of automation, it has become the preferred mining method for accelerating coal mine automation, informatization, and intellectualization, realizing the coal industry's goals of "reducing mines, reducing panels, reducing production, and reducing personnel". This method aligns with China's development trend of promoting coal industry upgrading and energy technology revolution in the direction of "safety, efficiency, environmental protection, and low carbon"(Yin in Coal Science and Technology 44:37–45, 2019). It is favored in the mining of thick coal seams in suitable mining areas, and has been widely promoted and applied in mining areas such as Shendong, Huainan, Jincheng, Datong, Lu'an, and Yulin.
