The Pronunciation Dictionary is a crucial component of speech processing systems that are used to create language models. Every word in a language is broken down into its constituent phonemes in a pronunciation dictionary. To construct the text corpus, both Automatic Speech Recognition and Text to Speech Synthesis systems require a pronunciation dictionary. The work’s main contribution is an examination of several ways in which syllabification plays a significant role in the development of the dictionary. The research will aid in the understanding of the function of features of Natural Language Processing in the development of diverse speech processing applications.
