Thermal Characterization and Performance Analysis of Mono-Crystalline Photovoltaic Solar Panels Adhered to Corrugated Surface

Sun is the primary source of all energies, be it conventional or non-conventional. All energy and power requirements of the world can be achieved from solar radiation that reaches the earth. Photovoltaic solar technology is at the forefront of renewable energy innovation and global energy sustainability. The race to increase PV solar cell efficiency has nurtured the development of new technologies like perovskite and buried contact solar cells, which are still under development. This paper aims to examine the impact on the efficiency of monocrystalline solar panels adhered to corrugated surfaces of different geometrical shapes with the thermal behavior of the panel. This study examines the conclusive effects of improved cell cooling, angle of light incidence, and shadowing effect, which have either a positive or negative impact on the PV cell efficiency of solar panels.
