Tourism, a global industry, serves as a significant driver of economic development, cultural exchange, and environmental conservation. It offers unique opportunities to promote and preserve geo-heritage sites and indigenous knowledge, which are invaluable for understanding our planet's history and cultural diversity. This study examines the role of tourism in promoting and preserving geo-heritage sites and indigenous knowledge in Rajasthan, focusing on Sandra Granite (Pali). This site offers unique geological insights and holds significant cultural and historical importance for local communities. Using a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews with stakeholders and quantitative analysis of tourism data, the research explores how tourism can serve as a catalyst for conservation efforts and the integration of indigenous knowledge into tourism practices. Findings indicate that tourism has contributed to the economic development and preservation of these sites. However, it also highlights challenges such as environmental degradation and cultural commodification. The paper concludes with recommendations for sustainable tourism practices that enhance visitor experience, ensure conservation, and involve local communities. This study underscores the need for a balanced approach to tourism that respects and preserves both geo-heritage and indigenous knowledge.
