This study employed a Scientometric-based review and conducted an extensive discussion of the current research topics pertaining to the current state of art of one-part geopolymer composites. VOSviewer was utilised for bibliometric mapping to analyze research trends over time and author keywords, based on 227 documents retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The research trend shows a remarkable surge in publications since 2008, emphasizing the demand for cleaner and more sustainable construction materials. The present study provides a comprehensive review that delves into the sourcing of solid alkaline activators from both commercial industry products and solid waste, while revealing the role of these activators in the mix design. Furthermore, the properties of one-part geopolymer composites, encompassing both strength and fresh properties, are thoroughly discussed through a review of findings from prior research. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the evolving landscape of one-part geopolymer composites, emphasizing their potential to reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability in the construction industry.
