Currently, there are many systems for managing building data. However, current practices are based on paper, handwriting, and scattered data. Hence, a building maintenance information system is needed in order to manage buildings more efficiently. The first objective assesses the current building maintenance management practices. Interviews in the developer’s department on previous maintenance data and work instructions were conducted to identify maintenance management practices. The second objective explores Revit software features to improve the current building maintenance management practice. The results show that Revit was able to produce a periodic maintenance schedule, a forecast of the budget required for future maintenance and its distribution according to item priority, and an illustration to explain the maintenance work. This study concludes that the application of BIM in building maintenance management can improve maintenance efficiency and support maintenance decisions.
