Estimation of Soil Nutrients and Fertility Using IOT and AI-Based Algorithm: A Review

Soil possesses unique characteristics, and in India, agricultural practices vary significantly every few kilometers due to the diverse nature of soils. Consequently, collecting numerous soil samples becomes a laborious task. Soil analysis holds significant importance in agricultural fields to achieve a bountiful harvest. AI-based algorithms play a crucial role in optimizing plant growth processes and the transportation of vital nutrients, including metals, across plants. Adequate soil moisture is essential for robust plant growth as it enables plants to utilize available water and facilitates the breakdown of salts, thereby enhancing the soil’s significance in nutrient provision to growing plants. This paper aims to explore the role of AI-based algorithms in the agricultural sector, specifically focusing on their applications in analyzing soil nutrients pertinent to farming and horticulture. The study provides an overview of various AI algorithms and intelligent systems employed in this domain.
