This experimental study investigates the impact of teaching gestures on student involvement in the classroom. The study analyzes the different impact of teaching gestures on student involvement by collecting and processing the data of teaching gestures, student involvement, and head-up rates. Specifically, this study conducted descriptive Statistics to explore the relationship between different types of teaching gestures and students’ involvement. An Inferential Statistics conducted to analyze the mediating effect of teaching gestures between head-up rates and involvement. ANOVA analysis of variance was employed to determine whether there are significant differences in student involvement among various teaching gesture types. And then, through the calculation of Cohen’s d to assess the impact size of teaching gestures on student involvement. The findings reveal a link between certain specific teaching gestures and increased student involvement, indicating that different teaching gestures strategic can effectively enhance students’ attention. These discoveries underscore the importance of non-verbal communication in teaching. A deeper analysis of classroom data can provide a better understanding of how teachers can attract and maintain students’ attention through gestures, thereby improving teaching quality and students’ learning outcomes.
