This paper presents a camel health monitoring system based on IoT technology specifically designed for desert environments, allowing the vital parameters of camels to be monitored and health-related issues to be resolved in advance. The incorporation of cloud-based data analytics and its smart management support allows to cope with the inefficiencies in livestock management practices, facilitating appropriate actions to be taken in time, thus improving the health of camels as well as pastoralists’ income. This advancement is an important change toward the digitalization of sustainable livestock management integration for effective farming.
