Ensuring Security and Energy Efficiency of Wireless Sensor Networks by Using Blockchain
摘要
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) enabled by the Internet of things will likely receive a massive increase in data volumes. Sensor nodes send data to the sink based on the data sensed. The security, transparency, trust, and immutability of these sensor nodes are all compromised. Blockchain technology is used in this study to enhance the security of wireless sensor networks and other digital systems. The use of blockchain in secure networking is becoming more popular as it is widely recognized as a tool for creating digital currencies. An analysis of the performance and efficiency of blockchain-based security approaches is conducted through a comparative study. Blockchain systems process show better performance records than traditional systems. Moreover, blockchain's advanced security features, though sometimes resulting in slower processing, are critical to solving complex network security issues.
