Control of Single-Phase FSPM Drive with Particle Swarm Optimized PI Controller

Nowadays, electronically commutated motor drives replace conventional motor drives in all fields of the market (automobiles, power generation, household appliances, etc.). Flux Switching Permanent Magnet Motors (FSPM) are among the electronically commutated motors. Control of motor drives makes these motors more efficient. Many researchers concentrate on this field to develop more robust and optimized control algorithms. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is one such optimization control algorithm. In this article, PSO is combined along with Proportional Integral (PI) for the control of single-phase FSPM.
