Comparative Analysis of Bio-Additives and Conventional Additives in Non-damaging Drilling Fluid Using Landmark Software for Interpretation

Extracting hydrocarbon resources efficiently from subsurface reservoirs requires an integrated approach to drilling and well construction. This study outlines a method for optimizing drilling operations while minimizing environmental impact by developing a Non-Damaging Drilling Fluid formulation, designing a Mud Program, and planning wells using Halliburton's Landmark software suite. Utilizing bio-additives such as tea leaves and rice husk in the drilling fluid enhances wellbore stability and reduces formation damage, thereby boosting drilling efficiency and productivity. The refined Mud Program ensures successful drilling operations, while detailed Well Planning guarantees optimal reservoir access with minimal drilling issues. This strategy seeks to improve drilling operations by boosting efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and strengthening wellbore integrity. The Landmark software from Halliburton assists in informed decision-making, contributing to the overall effectiveness of hydrocarbon extraction.
