Potential Antioxidant and Antiviral Activities of Various Hydroethanolic Extracts
摘要
Plants like herbs and spices have been utilized for a variety of purposes since ancient times, including food preservation and nourishment, either in their raw, fresh form or in various preparations. Because of this, the historical use of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAP) has been widely recognized, documented, and linked to the chemical makeup of the plants. This chapter investigates the diverse potential of hydroethanolic extracts in the health care and wellness industry, with a specific focus on their antioxidant and antiviral effects. As the global health landscape continues to evolve, understanding the protective abilities of these extracts becomes increasingly important. We look into the various sources of hydroethanolic extracts and their unique compositions, assessing their effectiveness in combating oxidative stress and viral infections. The chapter consolidates recent advancements in research, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms that underlie the antioxidant and antiviral properties of these extracts. Additionally, it discusses practical applications and potential therapeutic interventions, offering a comprehensive perspective on how these hydroethanolic extracts can be utilized for preventive and therapeutic purpose.
