The twenty-first century will be known for witnessing technological advancements. Along with the technological advancements, it will be recognized by the growing values and importance of gender diversity in engineering. The paper favors maximum participation of women in the field of engineering highlighting the importance of women in societal development and innovation. But the sad part is that after witnessing a significant shift in advancement of technology and various other fields, women are still underrepresented in engineering. This paper mainly focuses on the challenges and problems women face mainly in the field of engineering which include societal stereotypes and gender discrimination at workplaces. The findings emphasize the need to create a healthy environment which would promote gender diversity in engineering. Additionally, the paper discusses the limitations and challenges that women have to face and what necessary actions can be taken in support to address these issues.
