Deep Learning in Healthcare and Computational Biology

Deep learning has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in advancing the field of healthcare and bioinformatics. It has made significant contributions across diverse areas, encompassing sequence analysis, structure prediction, biomolecular property prediction, biomedical image processing, and biomolecule interaction prediction. This chapter discusses application of deep learning architectures in protein secondary structure prediction using sequence data, PAN-cancer classification using gene expression data, and brain tumor prediction using image data.
