Parosteal osteosarcoma (OSA) is a slow-growing, low-grade malignant bone-forming tumor (grade 1–2) arising from the outer layer of the periosteum. Dedifferentiated parosteal osteosarcoma (DPOS) is histologically higher-grade sarcoma (grade 3–4) that coexists with a conventional low-grade parosteal OSA.
