Thematic Analysis of Media Influence on the Adoption of AI Climate Prediction Models in Microbial Agriculture Practices: A Case Study of Uttar Pradesh Using Diffusion of Innovations Theory

Climate change presents major challenges to microbial agriculture, affecting the health and productivity of crops through disruptions to microbial ecosystems. AI climate prediction models, which utilize artificial intelligence, offer a promising solution for forecasting these changes and enabling timely interventions. However, the effectiveness of these models in agricultural practice hinges on their adoption by farmers. This study explores how media influence affects the adoption of AI climate prediction models in microbial agriculture in Uttar Pradesh. Employing thematic analysis, the research investigates how media shapes perceptions of these technologies and their adoption rates, using the Diffusion of Innovations Theory as a framework. The study analyzes media content and interviews with 51 farmers to identify key factors influencing adoption and provides practical insights into leveraging media strategies to enhance the uptake of AI technologies in microbial agriculture. Findings aim to offer actionable recommendations for improving the adoption process and maximizing the benefits of AI in mitigating climate-related challenges in agriculture.
