This chapter explores how Qatari families used technology to maintain family connections during the COVID-19 pandemic. The onset of the pandemic led to unprecedented social isolation, challenging traditional family interactions. This study examines the role of various technological tools in facilitating family communication and the long-term implications of increased reliance on technology. It also addresses the scarcity of research focusing on Gulf families, offering insights into the specific cultural and familial dynamics of Qatar. Through document analysis, the research highlights both the benefits and challenges posed by technology during the pandemic, evaluating the effectiveness of different communication platforms and their impact on family dynamics.
