Learning Community
摘要
In this chapter, I begin by discussing questions that readers might have upon reaching the conclusion: (1) Can we generalize from this study/story? and (2) Would someone need an inordinate amount of self-efficacy to do the same thing I’ve done? Then, I pull together threads from the previous chapters, focusing on the ways that Howe’s has been rich environment for learning, the ways I’ve enculturated into the community of practice, and the extent to which I’ve developed a vocational identity. I hope that this book will show the possibility, even if it’s a slight one, of attaining the depth and breadth of knowledge—the expertises—of people like Jim.
