This paper presents a comparative study evaluating the performance of image cryptography techniques, focusing on the encryption and decryption of images using chaos maps like the Arnold Cat Map method and generation of pseudorandom numbers with the Henon map method and logistic map. Both maps exhibit chaotic behavior, a desirable trait in image cryptography, with the Henon map specifically utilized for generating key values through XOR operations with pixel values. Experimental analysis confirms the chaotic nature of the Henon map, demonstrating successful encryption and decryption of images. These map algorithms have been implemented and evaluated for various parameters such as intensity histogram, correlation coefficient values, encryptions and speed. Practical applications and ongoing challenges in chaotic image encryption are discussed, providing insights for further research and development in this field.

摘要
