The literature on Balinese women’s work in the tourism industry is limited. There is the special question of how these women work while living the social traditional life in Bali, their everyday interactions with male colleagues, and their future career in the hospitality industry. This research is aimed at understanding the live experiences of five Balinese women working in the tourism industry and five male perspectives on female future career in the hospitality industry. Face-to-face and semi-structured interviews were conducted with selected informants. The collected data were thematically analyzed, adapting biographical and phenomenological analyses to discuss the case and draw conclusions. The results showed that Balinese women had a positive work experience, a constructive relationship with male colleagues, and communication with others in the tourism industry. Balinese women developed the strategy to work and balance their role with their family and their social life. Their future career in the hospitality industry is promising. There are four divisions in the hospitality industry that rely on the role of women as a leader, such as the sales and marketing division, the front office, the housekeeping department, and the human resources department. The findings resonate that women should strengthen their position in the hospitality industry even more. Successful Balinese women can maintain the dignity of the family, their work position, and contribute to the society.
