Measuring the User Experience Toward ChatGPT for Sustainable Tourism Purposes
摘要
This chapter assesses the user experience of ChatGPT, an AI tool based on natural language processing (NLP), specifically for the goal of sustainable tourism. The research, which took place in Jakarta and involved 385 participants, utilized the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to evaluate attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, reliability, stimulation, and novelty variables. The results suggest that ChatGPT significantly improves the travel experience by offering pertinent information, tailored suggestions, and captivating conversations, with efficiency being the most prominent aspect. Differences in user experience were seen among many demographic groups, including age, gender, income, education, travel history, device preference, and purpose of use. However, the time taken for registration did not consistently affect the user experience. The chapter proposes conducting more research to investigate the impact of specific destinations and cultural elements on user interactions with ChatGPT and provides valuable insights for the development of ChatGPT, enabling it to better cater to intricate travel requirements and enhance travelers’ perceptions of it as a tool for tourism information.
