A Strategic Framework for Sustainable Tourism Village Development in Bali: The Trimurti Sustainability Approach
摘要
Tourism villages have become increasingly popular for promoting community-based tourism, delivering sustainable benefits to the local community regarding the economy, sociocultural aspects, and the environment. Despite the rapid growth of such villages in Bali, Indonesia, many face challenges in attaining success. This qualitative study explores the Trimurti strategy model for sustainable tourism villages in Bali, identifying practices through in-depth interviews and documentation analysis involving various stakeholders, including village authorities, local communities, and a tourism village forum. The proposed strategic framework (Vishnu) underscores collective goals, community-driven development, and effective governance to achieve inclusivity and sustainability. Shiva’s critical interpretation reveals challenges in transitioning from charity reliance to self-sufficiency, while Brahma’s future-oriented strategies prioritize continuous learning and innovation for long-term growth. The findings offer valuable insights for developing sustainable tourism villages in Indonesia, fostering their success, and ensuring long-term viability.
