These days, real-time patient health data, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and glucose levels are obtained through the routine of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in remote consultations, telehealth applications, and virtual monitoring. Better adherence to treatment regimens and lifestyle modifications may optimize hospital operations by monitoring the utilization of wearable devices. IoT devices can forecast patterns and potential health issues. When data transmission is not encrypted correctly, it opens itself up to illegal access, eavesdropping, and interception. Inadequate privacy safeguards could allow this data to be sold or shared without authorization and authorized firmware is loaded onto the device. Lack of globally recognized security standards and encryption are crucial. Encryption, robust authentication, secure storage, communication protocols, privacy controls, and incident response plans are essential for ensuring security in wearable technology.
