Blockchain, renowned for its immutable nature, offers a reliable solution across various domains. Electronic Health Records (EHRs) play a pivotal role in the evolving healthcare landscape, necessitating secure and accessible management. Blockchain emerges as a preferred choice for maintaining EHRs due to its security features. However, the need for occasional data edits poses a challenge to the immutability of blockchain. Leveraging the chameleon hash function addresses this challenge effectively. This paper introduces a novel approach for updating healthcare records using permissioned blockchain in hospital management systems. We incorporate a trapdoor key alongside an ephemeral key to facilitate authorized changes within the blockchain network. We distribute the trapdoor key among participating nodes to ensure security and restrict modifications to authorized personnel. Reconstruction of this key is achieved through the Monotone Span Program (MSP), commonly utilized in multi-party computation (MPC) within the context of secure function evaluation (SFE) protocols. The proposed solution culminates in an advanced chameleon hash-based redactable blockchain tailored for Hospital Management Systems, bolstered by including a trapdoor key and ephemeral key mechanism. Furthermore, comprehensive theoretical proofs and performance analyses validate the efficacy and feasibility of the proposed model.

摘要
