A double port multi-band MIMO antenna described in this research of size 50 × 10 × 1.6 mm3 is designed and fabricated. The multi-band nature is obtained by the addition of the branched structures to the antenna. The radiating structures as well as the ground plane are printed on the same side of the FR4 substrate. The first port has three bands (1.5, 4.8, and 5.8 GHz) and the second port has two bands (1.5 and 5.5 GHz). The recommended antenna has a gain of 3.7 dB at 1.5 GHz, 3.5 dB at 4.8 GHz, 4.1 dB at 5.5 GHz, and 2.7 dB at 5.8 GHz, which is the resonant frequency. At the operational bandwidth, the value of S11 < −10 dB and the VSWR < 2 are displayed from 1.2–1.8, 4.4–5.18, 5.2–5.8 GHz, and 5.6–5.9 GHz. The simulated and measured results from the fabricated antenna prove that GPS, WLAN, and WiMax band applications can be used with the recommended antenna.
