A Study on the Present Use of Nanotechnology in Agriculture and Food
摘要
The creation of active and intelligent packaging, nanopesticides, nanosensors, and nanofertilisers, among other innovations, has enabled the transformation of the conventional food and agriculture sectors at a faster pace than before, thanks to the fast advancement of nanotechnology. Many innovative nanomaterials have been created to enhance agricultural development, monitor environmental conditions, and bolster food quality and safety. This review includes the most recent advancements in nanotechnology as well as some of the most challenging issues and promising future directions in the food and agriculture sectors from recently concluded research. The fundamentals of toxicology and risk assessment are also covered. Regarding the nanoparticles included in these novel food and agricultural products. The study emphasised how bioinspired and biosynthesized nanomaterials may be used for sustainable development. Controlling the production, handling, use, and elimination of nanomaterials necessitates strict laws and regulations. It still takes work to increase public awareness of and acceptance of cutting-edge agricultural and culinary goods provided by nanotechnology. The study concluded that nanotechnology presents a variety of potential by offering a fresh and environmentally friendly substitute in the agricultural and food industries.
