In the present study the performance of 1.2 kWp solar PV power system designed with two different types of PV modules opaque and glass to glass PV modules each of capacity 0.6 kWp has been analyzed for the composite climatic condition of India. In this study, the effect of PV module temperature on PV module efficiency, PV system efficiency and electrical energy output of Solar PV power system has been evaluated using mathematical modelling based on energy balance and the same has also been validated experimentally. It has been found that the glass to glass PV module shows better efficiency in comparison with the opaque PV module and generates about 2.7% more electrical energy in open field condition. The annual average module efficiency and system efficiency for glass to glass and opaque are found to be 10.30%, 6.88% and 10.12%, 6.77% respectively. The obtained results in the present study will be helpful to the planner to design roof -top off-grid PV/battery system.

摘要
