IoT-Based Smart Bin for Trash Management with Odor and Fill-Level Detection
摘要
The production of trash is increasing as urbanization spreads quickly and this may lead spreading of maggots. The Odor of the waste may irritate the people and may cause health issues. Waste management is a key topic to consider in public areas where trash bins are overflowing or there is some poisonous element in the bin that could result in various ailments. The goal of the current effort is to create a smart dustbin model that can be successfully deployed in public areas of smart towns. To modernize garbage management, the proposed research assembled IoT devices with bins for Odor factor and fill-level analysis. The device keeps track of bin fill levels in real-time using ultrasonic sensors. The bins’ level of Odor intensity is detected by gas sensors which aids in the detection of poisonous elements. For effective garbage pickup, notifications are delivered to waste authorities via GSM. The initiative improves garbage management while simultaneously addressing Odor issues, making urban areas more aesthetically pleasing and cleaner. This project demonstrates the creative potential of technology in waste management with the ability to lower expenses and environmental effects.
