Various fertility surveys have revealed that the desired number of children significantly impacts both fertility and mortality rates, which are crucial factors in population dynamics. In this paper, we aim to evaluate key fertility measures such as the crude birth rate (CBR), age-specific general fertility rate (ASGFR), age-specific marital fertility rate (ASMFR), general fertility rate (GFR), and total fertility rate (TFR). Additionally, we assess current mortality measures including the crude death rate (CDR), infant mortality rate (IMR), and age-specific mortality rate (ASMR). This analysis is based on data collected from a survey of 500 households in the urban population of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
