This research proposes a new approach to detect nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt) quality using the "You Only Look Once" (YOLO) object detection technique. This method automatically identifies nutmeg quality based on visual attributes like color, size, and wholeness. Nutmeg image data are collected and processed using the YOLO model to distinguish between high and low-quality nutmegs. Experimental results show that this approach successfully provides a high accuracy rate of 95.6% in detecting nutmeg quality, paving the way for developing an efficient and fast nutmeg quality classification automation system.
