This document researches the hail impact test method for civil aircraft windshield glass. In order to ensure the most severe hail impact damage, the main input parameters of hail impact tests were determined through research on the characteristics of hail such as its formation, size, density, and fallspeed, as well as research on the test equipment, test specimen requirements, hail impact speed, impact angle, and impact pattern of hail impact tests. This provides a locally acceptable hail impact simulation and analysis method for hail impact tests on civil aircraft.
