Due to the technical advantages and application limitations of EC-WPT and MC-WPT technologies, a hybrid wireless power transfer (HWPT) system is formed by combining the magnetic-coupled mechanism (i.e., coupling coils) of MC-WPT system with the electric-coupled mechanism (i.e., capacitive plates) of EC-WPT system.
