Collaboration of Women Activists and Women MPs in Promoting the Sexual Violence Act in Indonesia
摘要
This chapter examines the political dynamics in the law-making process in Indonesia’s national parliament and argues that collaboration between women activists and women MPs is the key factor in urging for the passage of legislation related to women after almost a decade of neglect. Amid the issue of democracy decline, this collaboration to press women's interests in a male-dominated parliament shows good news for the development of Indonesian democracy.
