Since ancient times, Mongolia has lived under unique historical conditions of land use as compared to other regions in the world. Given the specific nature of nomadic livestock breeding, the Mongols, who since early times have been living in the Central Asian region with a continental climate, managing their pastoral animal husbandry, had no other choice but to opt for nomadism. In this sense, the size of nomadic units, the population of livestock, and humans were limited to the capacity that the livestock pastures provided.
