Smart Tourism Technologies and Memorable Tourist Experiences in Relation to Revisit Intention in National Tourist Destinations
摘要
The use of smart technologies applied to tourism seems to have breathed new life into the sector that had been paralyzed by COVID-19. Thus, it was decided to analyze these resources, adding variables such as memorable experiences, attachment to the place, attitude, and intention to review. The proposed research was quantitative, cross-sectional, and explanatory in scope collected through an online survey with a non-probabilistic convenience sampling of 372 people between 24 and 50 years’ old who visited a tourist destination in Lima, Peru. The proposed hypotheses were operationalized through a second-order SEM statistical model, through the SMART PLS program, achieving the validation of the five proposed hypotheses. Among the most relevant findings, it was identified that there is a strong relationship between memorable tourist experiences and attachment to the place, because, if the tourist creates a connection with the place, this destination would have a significant value for the traveler.
