Deash Treatment

The approach to reducing the ash content in PP is by minimizing the amount of ash. The production of PP involved a slurry polymerization process, utilizing the first and second generation of Ziegler Nata catalyst systems for polymerization. However, due to the low activity of catalyst, a significant amount of catalyst is required during the production process, resulting in a high level of catalyst residue and ash content in the final product. Therefore, it is essential to enhance the deashing process to eliminate catalyst residues and impurities (Umran et al. in IEEE Access 8:40,413–40,430, 2020;Flicker et al. in Tampa, FL, USA 2013:3340–3342, 2013;).
