With the development of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission technology, MFCs towards the direction of high voltage, large capacity development, which puts forward more stringent requirements on the working conditions of the PP film (Xiao et al. in IEEE Trans. Dielect Elect. Insul. 31:160–167, 2024).
