Study on the Low-Temperature Fatigue Performance of Welded Joints in 5083 Aluminum Alloys for Railway Vehicles
摘要
5083 aluminum alloy welded joint is used in the railway vehicle commonly. In the study, it tests the axial tensile fatigue of the welded joint with reinforcement butt weld and polished butt weld under different low temperature environment. At the same time, the effect the joint fatigue strength of welded joint with reinforcement butt is analyzed, the quantitative relationship between fatigue strength and temperature is established. The result shows that the fatigue strength of 5083 aluminum alloy welded joint all meet the requirements under the specified life 107 in 0 ℃ ~ −50 ℃ low temperature range, but compared with the welded joint with polished butt, the fatigue strength of the welded joint with reinforcement butt reduce nearly 30%; With the decrease of ambient temperature, the fatigue strength of the joint increase exponentially. The fatigue strength of the joint increase nearly 13% when the temperature is decreased from 0 ℃ to −50 ℃.
