Physics Simulation
摘要
For computer graphics (CG) animation, not only the shapes and character motions created by CG creators are important, but also the movement of hair and clothing associated with the character’s movement, or the surrounding environment, such as the flow of rivers and waves of the sea, clouds flowing in the wind, swinging trees, and various other natural phenomena are also important for realistic CG. However, such natural phenomena are very complex and difficult to manually reproduce. The attempt to calculate these complex phenomena automatically using a computer is the subject of this chapter, physics simulation. This chapter explains what physics simulation is, from the basics, to how to actually reproduce objects such as rigid/elastic bodies, water, and air in CG.
