Many of the most pressing crises facing humankind in the 2020s are connected to the way humans commodify nature and operationalize multi-species relations. Multi-species relations are a fundamental driver of what constitutes the Anthropocene. This chapter aims to provide an overview of how multi-species relations and particularly multi-species justice have been studied in global environmental politics and how the commodified nature of multi-species relations is a core constituent of the Anthropocene.
