The difficulty of excavating remaining oil is increasing. In order to further improve the development effect of the block, combined with fine geological research and residual oil quantification results, numerical simulation prediction methods [2] are used to combine multiple schemes with the goal of improving the recovery rate [3]. The impact of pulse intermittent water injection, rotation intermittent water injection, interval alternating water injection, and similar oil layer schemes on improving the recovery rate is studied [4]. The cyclic water injection method suitable for low-permeability reservoirs in narrow channel sand bodies is selected, and reasonable cyclic water injection mode, water injection intensity, and water injection cycle are determined. The research results show that the best cyclic water injection method for narrow channel is alternating water injection in water wells and intervals. The optimal injection cycle is 120 days, The optimal recovery water injection ratio is 1.2 times, and the maximum increase in recovery rate has the best effect. After the application of Block A, the production decline rate and water content increase rate of the block were effectively controlled, and the water absorption status of the oil layer was improved [5]. The development effect was significantly improved, which has certain guiding significance for conducting periodic water injection in narrow channel sand body oil layers [6].
