Tight carbonate oil reservoirs well developed in Middle Cretaceous S Formation, X Area of Abu Dhabi, Middle East. However, no systematic evaluation for the tight oil Formation has been conducted yet. In this paper, calculation models for evaluating the main parameters of tight oil Formation, including TOC content, Ro, kerogen volume, lithology, porosity, oil saturation and brittleness, are firstly established based on abundant core, oil testing and logging data. And the evaluation models show good and qualified applicability after the evaluation results were compared with the core analysis data. Moreover, one classification standard for tight oil reservoirs in the study area has been firstly established through comparing the characteristics of typical tight oil reservoirs in the study area with North America and China. Finally, the vertical enrichment section and horizontal sweet spot area of the tight oil Formation in the study area, are provided by the quantitative evaluation. The evaluated and classified Class I enrichment section of tight oil has been confirmed with oil high oil production rate after volume fracturing. The calculation models and evaluation methods provided in the paper will provide strong technical support for further exploration and development of the tight oil reservoir in the similar areas of Middle East.

摘要
