Calcium Silicate Hydrate (CSH) mineral has long been highlighted as a material with many potential applications, especially in the fields of construction and environmental protection, thanks to its special physical and mechanical properties such as durability, high surface area, low cost. In this study, synthesizing CSH by taking advantage of available waste from glass products and Ca(OH)2, acting as the main raw material to form CSH minerals in the hydrothermal environment. The role of NaOH medium was selected to study with different NaOH concentraion such as 4M, 8M and 12M. The result show that CSH can be form when the NaOH concentration is 8M or 12M, indicating the alklaine activator process. The needle-like CSH crystal have length of 2µm have potential be used in thermal insulator and heavy metal removal.
