Internal Analysis: Enabling Resources for Technology Ventures
摘要
This chapter gives an overview of internal analysis, which is acknowledged as a critical part of environmental scanning in addition to external conditions. Assuming a firm’s endogenous growth, the objective of internal analysis is to identify internal resources that can enable and disable a firm’s strategy development. The chapter describes four dimensions of technological resources: technoware, humanware, inforware, and orgaware. These are critical types of internal resources to be continuously monitored and improved by technology business leaders. The conclusion briefly discusses critical trends in resource transformation from labor-intensive to knowledge-based companies.
